It is the right amount of air on medium and when want to hear a little quiet noise put up on high.So, overall the fan is good quality. perhaps a little cheap looking but for the price that's expected. It still feels sturdy enough. Not sure why I'd ever use the "high" setting because I don't really need my living room to take flight into the stratosphere, but if I ever wanted it to feel like I have a tornado in my tiny living room, I now have the option. (I'm sure this setting is more built for a much larger room, which is fair. Smaller room I doubt you'll ever need more than medium). It's smooth and quiet which is what really matters. The light is very bright as well.The only real complaint I have is the installation. It's a nightmare. The cords are all in places that get in the way of pins and screws and you have to break your fingers to move them out of the way to make it fit, and the instructions are terrible. There are so many important steps and details missed in the steps that make it very hard to follow. If you are not handy and do not have someone particularly handy in your house, find a handy friend to pay to install this thing, because the instructions are garbage. I would know, I'm a technical writer. Writing instructions is my job. But if you're handy enough, you might be able to figure out the missed steps enough to rig it up. Probably took my husband and I 3.5 hours to actually get it installed. But when we did, it worked perfectly.So if you're okay with a hellish install, this is a solid buy for the money.Remodeling a room. Looks great!bought 3 of the fan units, installation was easy only issue is the reveal of the glass globe, sharp looking blades with a good remote controlThe fan blades are plastic and not the robust kind and the unit's wiring is a mystery - you have to try stuff before it will work right bc the accompanying wiring diagram is terrible. The instructions only get worse from there - by the end where you are installing the light and glass cover you are literally guessing at how the pieces fit together - it's worse than IKEA directions. Once assembled the unit is smart looking and the remote works well, it's just a bear to install due to poor instructions. If you have done a ceiling fan before I'd say you can be done in 45 minutes, if you're not a ceiling fan install pro - count on it being an hour and half with many expletives muttered under your breath.Like the remote control.Problem was the mounting, needs to have a way to hang motor to bracket while you assemble hanging rod and run wires. The hanging bracket needs to be little bigger to allow room to move remote module to fit and allow to for mounting rod to be placed in hanging bracket.
